Villa on the beach
Villa on the beach

Let's take a virutal tour of this beach-front villa - one of the best in Bali, Indonesia.  We can start with the 3 bedrooms which have been named after plants that are featured in the garden, and then we can move on.

Jepun Room

Jepun, or Frangipanni, is often used in Balinese ceremnonies, and there are several Jepun trees in our garden. This is the master bedroom with lots of space and a walk-in wardrobe or dressing room as well as a large indoor/outdoor bathroom.  French doors open onto the terrace facing the pool, so if you choose you can leave the doors wide open at night and listen to the Bali Sea.  The mosquito net of the four-poster bed will protect you.  Alternatively you can close the doors and set the air-conditioning as required.

Lotus Room

This bedroom is nearly as big as the Jepun Room but has an indoor bathroom that may appeal to some family members more than the outdoor bathrooms.  This room also opens to the terrace and pool, and has a four-poster bed with mosquio net.  Here again you choose between opening the room to the sounds of the sea - or else use of the air conditioning.

Hibiscus Room

Our garden and neighbouring gardens feature the Hibiscus flower.  In Indonesia it is known as the shoe flower (bunga sepatu) while in Malaysia, where it is the national flower, it is known as bunga raya.  This bedroom has a view to a banana plantation and the hills, and has the same style of indoor-outdoor bathroom as the Jepun Room.

 Vnew Garden

It began in the wet season which was late this year (March/April). One downpour turned it into a muddy lake - but that was only for a short time.  So it got a flying start with generous watering from the heavens, and even though it is only a few months old - it is developing well.  The following images will give you some idea.
